Slow speech development in Toddlers
There has been a connection between speech problems and the midsagittal suture line for a long time. Recently, I have come across TONS of information linking it to toddlers that seem to have slower pronunciation skills. The most common denominator is that these children all seem to have been delivered by C-section. By doing massage on the midsagittal to right side of the suture line toddlers speech has made incredible progress. Please leave a comment on this topic if you like. I am very interested in learning more about this. Thanks, Willow

Perhaps you could give of a link to some peer-reviewed evidence which would substantiate this claim.

You will find the link between speech and sutures in any cranial sacral book. As for the information I’ve been receiving about the toddlers and C-section, it’s been all via other therapists and mothers that have had it work on their children. Please let me know if you find anything.

For what it’s worth, here is a link from a non-peer-reviewed source: http://www.safrantherapies.com/id28.htm
Really though, have there even been any peer-reviewed studies of any scientific merit on this subject? If there are any that side in either direction I would love to hear it.
For now, I know that there have been anecdotal cases where this therapy was of significant benefit. Statistics or not, these people believe.
